One of the things I love most about photographing Military Homecomings is capturing the overwhelming joy. And this young lady helped me make one of my of my most favorite images that I’ve captured in a long time (above). She was SOOOOOO excited to finally see her daddy again after returning from deployment that she was absolutely beside herself! She just kept repeating, “He’s here!! He’s here!!” It was as if she was trying to convince herself that it was really true!
