Holiday Sparkle at National Lutheran Communities and Services is an event I look forward to every year. I love seeing everyone’s familiar faces and seeing their dedicated and caring staff enjoy each other’s company and share in the spirit of Christmas … And I’ll admit I do get a kick out of seeing them get a little silly in the photo booth as well.
This years party was especially fun for a couple of reasons – the first being that I had the opportunity to print portraits on-site for the guests to take home with them at the end of the night, and there is no better feeling than hearing a gasp of surprise at how much they love the photograph that I took from someone who normally dreads having their photo taken. For some, it was the first time in a long time that they had had their photo taken with their spouse or good friend or colleague and that made me happy. The 2nd reason this years party was especially great was because it was the first time I was able to work an event with my new Studio Manager, Jennilyn. Jennilyn has been part of my team for a couple of months and in that time she has become my right hand. She is also my editor, my task master, my scheduler, my keeper-tracker of loose ends, my cheerleader, and dear friend. She makes me sparkle year-round.
